We tell all our patients that Chiropractic is a process, a path to regain our health, and it takes time and repetition. So, if you’re looking for a quick fix, should you see a chiropractor?
We like to compare the Chiropractic process to working out, going to a gym 3x/week to build the body you want. Is it enough to go to the gym once or twice, to get the body you want? Probably not! (Unless you were already in great shape, or have really low standards for what you want).
Nevertheless, every new year thousands of people sign up for a monthly gym membership they won’t use but once or twice, get discouraged, and cancel their membership a few months later.
So, is it worth going to a gym just once or twice? It might be better than nothing, but it might also be very discouraging and disappointing. Are we ready and serious about change, and are we willing to put in the effort?
Quick “fixes” for our health are rarely more than a “band-aid”, something to cover up bad symptoms for a short period of time, while our body plans it’s next attempt to wake us up. We have a saying,
“If you don’t listen to your body when it whispers to you,
you’ll be forced to listen when it screams at you”
